FAQ

What is Cause-play?

We use our love of Cosplay ("costumed play" - the practice of dressing like a specific character and playing them) with giving back to the community. We are Cosplaying for a Cause, or "Cause-Playing".

How much do you charge for appearances?

Nothing! We never charge for apperances.

What kinds of events do you do?

We work with hospitals, charities and communities. We are available for Hospital Visits, Runs / Walks / Bikes, Charity Events, Public Appearance (Such As National Night Out), Parades, Movie Promotions, Conventions / Panels and more.

Do you do birthday parties?

No. Our focus is on charity work. Unless the birthday party is part of a "make-a-wish" style request, we must politly decline.

Do you only do Superheroes?

No. "Heroes" come in all shapes and styles - to a little girl in the hospital, Rupunzel can be a hero, or Dorthy can make a Foster Kid feel more at home. While the majority of our apperances have been Superhero related thus far, we are more than happy to work with you to meet your costume needs.

Do you take requests?

Yes! Once you contact us we will work with you to make sure we can meet your needs. In most cases we will be able to generally match our costumes with the events theme/appearance request. If you have a very specific request (ie. a certain character or group: Batman Villians, the main characters of Wizzard of Oz, Ariel in a Wheelchair, etc.) we will try our best to meet it, if given enough advanced notice.

How much notice do you need?

The earlier the better! Because we are volunteer based, the earlier we can put your event on the calendar, the more Heroes your event will have. Also, if we do not already have the requested costumes on-hand (already made) we need a minimum of 2 months notice to have enough time to create the costumes needed for the event.

Where do your costumes come from?

All of our costumes are handmade by talented cosplayers within our League. Many of our memebers have years of experience creating their own, award winning costumes. We also get many of our costumes made through our H.O.T. Sidekick companies Outragous Outfits and Infernal Flight Academy.

What Costumes do you have on-hand?

We have a variety of Superheroes and Villians on-hand, including groups from Superman, Batman, and Green Lantern. We also have characters from Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and other movie franchises.
